Step One: Determine How Widespread the Bat Problem Is

Step Two: Removing a Bat From Your Home

If you do believe there is only one bat, it is best to isolate the room where the bat is as best as you can by closing the doors to the rest of your home. Then, leave your doors and windows open and let the bat search for the exit on its own.

Chasing the bat with objects or nets can cause the bat to panic, which will only make the whole process take longer.

If the bat does land, you can utilize household items to scoop the bat into a container and then release it outside. It is best to wear gloves when you do this, so you don’t actually touch the bat.

Step Three: Removing Several Bats

If you’ve determined that there are actually several bats in your home, you will need to locate the specific place where they are coming in and seal it. Otherwise, as you get them out, they will return.
